The Project

Kendall worked with community organizers to form and support strong tenant associations that will effectively advocate for their own safe, healthy, and affordable housing.

More than 1.7 million low-income families across the country could lose their homes over the next five years because of expiring HUD mortgages and Section 8 contracts. Many of these are Arkansas families.

If you want to use the law as a tool to fight poverty, then lawyers need to learn how to collaborate with organizers and low-income communities so that their work improves the lives of the most people possible.
