The Project

Mallory is the newest Fellow at the Emory Law Volunteer Clinic for Veterans. The Clinic provides pro bono legal services for veterans, assisting them and their families with disability benefit claims both before the VA and in subsequent appellate proceedings.

There are 200,000 veterans in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Many of our service men and women have returned with mental illnesses such as post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. The statutes and regulations governing veteran affairs can be complicated and hard to understand. Through the Fellowship, we are able to assist more veterans who need legal help with their claims and appeals.
