The Project

Facilitate access to safety for low-income immigrant survivors of domestic violence in Greater Boston through direct immigration and family law representation, community collaboration and outreach.

The Inspiration

Need Addressed By Project: 
Immigrant survivors of domestic violence encounter staggering obstacles to accessing safety and stability such as language and cultural barriers, ineligibility is collaboration between the immigration experts at Irish International Immigrant Center and the domestic violence experts at the Domestic Violence Institute of Northeastern University School of Law.
The Right Person For This Project: 
Jacqueline is the right person for the project because:
• She has over a decade of experience working directly with low-income immigrants from all over the world and with survivors of trauma and domestic violence
• She speaks fluent Spanish and French, which enables her to serve many clients without an interpreter
• Her expertise in immigration law and procedure, coupled with her commitment to immigrant justice, will allow her to serve clients passionately, efficiently, and effectively
