The Project

The overall goal of Operation Veteran’s Re-entry is to eradicate barriers to employment, housing, healthcare, and benefits to homeless and at-risk of being homeless veterans. This project is important because it provides veterans the opportunity to receive the benefits and healthcare that they have deserved through their military service. Additionally, it allows for veterans to have an advocate who is fighting for their individual needs. The project will focus on Veteran’s Administration compensation benefits and pension claims, as well as discharge upgrades. The project will conduct legal intakes, evaluate cases, and provide counsel and advice, as well as direct representation.

Fellowship Highlights

Amanda filed several claims for Veteran’s Administration compensation benefits and pensions, submitted two discharge upgrades to the Discharge Review Board or the Board of Military Corrections, conducted legal intakes, and provided counsel and advice.
